Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MO or Compact license and telemetry experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Cerner charting system preferred but not required for consideration
• Mandatory floating required, including PCU to MS or ICU units
• Telemetry monitoring on the unit with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Rotating shifts, including holidays and inclement weather coverage

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/specialty experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, Rapid Response/Code teams, and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for progressive/stepdown level patients including cardiac, respiratory, and renal cases
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations as needed
• Work in a healthcare facility operating 24/7, 365 days a year, with routine exposure to contagious illnesses
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
