Senior Associate/AVP - Relationship Manager, Global Industrials Coverage, Institutional Banking Group

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including corporate finance, working capital finance, term loans, cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance and foreign exchange. The Industrials team covers corporates engaged in capital goods, chemicals and materials sectors.

As part of the IBG Global Industrials team, the candidate will function both as a Direct Coverage RM and an Industry RM.
As a direct coverage RM, incumbent will be responsible for:

• Developing business relationships with new and existing clients with a focus on MNC clients and working with Global Relationship Managers in deepening client connectivity across DBS’ network in Asia;


• Day-to-day account servicing and regular credit and compliance reviews;


• Contributing towards deal origination and/or increasing product penetration across all product groups available for the Bank’s mid and large corporate clients;


• Preparing credit applications (which includes building financial models / reviewing cashflow projections and advising / structuring financing terms and conditions to meet specific client needs) and overseeing loan & security documentation and negotiations with good degree of competence for non-complex credits;


• Formulating, completing and executing on account plans for identified clients in the assigned portfolio to increase share of wallet; and


• Delivering on agreed revenue targets for the assigned portfolio

As an Industry RM, incumbent will be responsible for:

• Researching and analyzing various Industrials sub-segments with a focus to identify common themes across various industry sub-segments and across geographies; With a focus on regional MNC client and deepen client connectivity across Asia.


• Working with product partners in industry-led product development initiatives;


• Performing industry portfolio reviews and stress tests.

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate & investment banking (experience in managing large corporates preferred)
• Strong business development skill & results oriented.
• Strong credit and financial analytical skills, experience in industry research
• Strong skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams in origination and execution
• Good working knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, capital markets and transaction banking products, including cash management and trade finance solutions
• Team player possessing excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a drive to meet business targets
