Team Lead – DSV, Salt Lake City, USA Division: Solutions Time Type: Full Time Schedule: Team 1A – Sunday to Tuesday, alternating Wednesday every other week. 6am – 6:30pm Position Summary The Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities assigned daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Team Lead oversees associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping of products in the area, ensuring company service and cost objectives are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Training: Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities. Train associates on current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. Assist in forklift operation and certification. Shipping/Receiving: Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stacking of product, and staging of outbound shipments. Verify required paperwork with drivers and ensure accurate product counts. Efficiently and accurately load orders onto appropriate doors and trailers. Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by SOPs. Investigate discrepancies in the process. Customer Service: Conduct oneself professionally in appearance and communications. Communicate with customers via telephone, email, or in person. Prepare activity reports for site management. Quality Control: Use appropriate documentation to ensure products/orders are received or shipped correctly. Verify quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and handle packaging/shrinking/labeling. Process all quality control functions per SOPs. Report inconsistencies to Operations Supervisor or Manager. Participate in quality meetings. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Comply with relevant ISO, safety protocols, OSHA, and MSDS standards. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist in security. Attend safety meetings. Labor Management: Direct warehouse work team to meet objectives. Assist associates with productivity sheets and payroll hours. Help maintain productive workforce levels. Assist in establishing and implementing work schedules. Ensure jobs are assigned and completed properly. Responsibility and Authority: Participate in department meetings. Initiate actions to prevent, record, and resolve non-conformities, reporting promptly to the Quality Department. Equipment Operation: Use equipment such as sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, pallet jack. Maintain equipment and report problems. Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on forklift or other equipment. Maintain active forklift certification. Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Other Duties: Perform clerical and administrative tasks as directed. Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1 year experience in logistics/distribution or related environment. Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Comfortable working in unregulated temperatures (mild to moderate). Basic computer skills, RF scanner use, WMS functions. English language proficiency (reading, writing, verbal). Basic to intermediate math skills for verification of quantities. Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, effective communication skills, adaptability. Preferred Qualifications 2–4 years experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution. 2–4 years proven forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Pay & Benefits Expected base pay: $26.00 per hour (actual compensation determined by experience, skills, education, and location).
