Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled Harness Engineer to design, implement, and manage modern CI/CD pipelines using the Harness Platform . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps, cloud technologies, automation, deployment orchestration, and release management. This role will focus on accelerating software delivery, improving deployment reliability, and enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery across enterprise applications.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Harness .
• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes across multiple environments.
• Integrate Harness with source control, testing, monitoring, and cloud platforms.
• Implement deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, Rolling, and Feature Flag Deployments .
• Manage and optimize Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Verification (CV) processes.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and SRE teams to streamline software delivery.
• Configure and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Monitor deployment health, application performance, and environment stability.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.
• Drive DevOps best practices and automation initiatives across the organization.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Harness CI/CD Platform .
• Experience building and managing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo .
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and software release management .
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift .
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .
• Experience with Git-based source control systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or New Relic .
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, Groovy, or Java .

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience implementing GitOps practices.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment management.
• Familiarity with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode, or Checkmarx .
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud-native applications.
• Exposure to Banking and Financial Services domain.
