Job Description Accounts Receivable Specialist LHH is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to focus on Cash Application. This position supports the accounts receivable function by processing high-volume data entry and applying customer payments to outstanding balances. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in transactional work, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $23/hr. Job Duties

• Process high-volume data entry of customer payments, invoices, and account updates with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Apply incoming payments to open invoices, ensuring proper matching and timely posting to customer accounts
• Review remittance details and support daily cash posting from multiple payment sources
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, and payment discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate aging, identifying and correcting variances
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are received within terms and follow up on outstanding balances
• Maintain organized records of transactions, payment activity, and account adjustments
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and ensure alignment between invoicing and cash receipts
• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support
• Utilize accounting systems and Excel to track, post, and analyze financial data

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounts receivable, cash application, or high-volume data entry experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of transactional data accurately
• Experience with payment posting, account reconciliation, and account maintenance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies efficiently and professionally
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills for internal coordination and customer follow-up
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
