Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment with preferred experience in rehabilitation settings.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a PT unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current state PT license required; license required if applicable
• Two years of direct patient physical therapy care and treatment experience preferred
• Experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating functional needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and conducting therapy within defined standards of care
• Assesses and modifies treatment effectiveness on an ongoing basis, with regular documentation updates and discharge planning
• Communicates with patients, families, and caregivers to address educational and cultural needs to maximize care outcomes
• Coordinates and supervises therapy staff as part of the care team
