Radiology Technologist - Orthopedics (Day Shift)

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift is a combination of 12, 10, 8, and 4-hour days as determined by department schedules, primarily Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Saturday shifts may occur from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Job Description

The Radiology Technologist will perform imaging procedures in an orthopedic setting, focusing on a wide range of areas including the ankle, femur, foot, knee, pelvis, spine, and more. The role requires independence in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict infection prevention and isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic imaging for various orthopedic conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and workflow.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation purposes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and departmental procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a radiology setting, preferably with orthopedic focus.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and BLS certification required.
• New York state licensure in Radiologic Technology must be in hand upon submission.
• Experience with Epic charting is a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to float to different orthopedic locations as needed.
