Kolon TissueGene, Inc. (KTG) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. We are advancing TG-C, a first-in-class allogeneic cell and gene therapy for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, administered as a single intra‑articular injection. As we approach Biologics License Application (BLA) submission and prepare for U.S. commercial launch, we are building the teams, processes, and operating infrastructure needed to bring this therapy to patients. About the Role The Associate, Strategic Planning & IP Coordination is the primary day‑to‑day coordinator for the Company’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio and a key support to strategic‑planning operations. You will own IP coordination end to end — patent tracking, deadline monitoring, coordination with external IP counsel, and IP status reporting — while supporting program tracking, documentation, follow‑up, and management reporting across the organization. This is an associate‑level individual‑contributor role. You will partner with Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, Clinical, Technical Operations, Commercial, and other functions to keep timelines, milestones, risks, decisions, and action items accurate, current, and clearly visible to leadership. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary coordinator for the Company’s IP portfolio — tracking patents, filings, deadlines, Office Actions, and current status. Act as the main point of contact with external IP counsel and agencies on patent‑related matters, including follow‑ups, document requests, and status updates. Manage IP budgeting, invoice tracking, reconciliation, and internal documentation; prepare and present IP status updates for leadership. Maintain program timelines, milestone trackers, risk logs, and action logs; follow up with internal functions to confirm current status. Identify delayed, missing, or overdue items and escalated them to the SC/SP Associate Director in a timely manner. Support cross‑functional coordination on timelines, deliverables, risks, and next steps, and maintain clear records of key decisions and open items. Prepare recurring management reports, program updates, meeting materials, and executive‑level summaries; manage version control and on‑time delivery. Provide additional strategic‑planning and governance support as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, project/PMO support, strategic‑planning support, IP coordination, or cross‑functional operations in biotech, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated environment. Direct experience in IP portfolio tracking, patent‑prosecution coordination, Office Action follow‑up, or external‑counsel coordination. Working knowledge of IP/patent processes and terminology. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and reliable follow‑through. Clear written and verbal communication skills for trackers, summaries, slides, and cross‑functional coordination. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities, and to escape risks appropriately. Familiarity with project‑management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar. Full‑time, onsite at KTG’s Rockville, MD headquarters. Standard office hours, with occasional early‑morning or evening work for urgent reporting cycles, IP deadlines, or cross‑time‑zone meetings. Frequent computer and document work; ability to occasionally carry materials up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available. Base Salary Range $80,000 – $105,000 per year. The base salary offered within this range depends on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance‑based incentive compensation.
