Accountant

Steadfast Executive Search LLC is partnering with a well-established construction organization in the Orlando market to identify an Accountant. Onsite: Winter Park, Florida This is a fully onsite position based in Winter Park and works closely with accounting leadership and internal teams across multiple functions, and offers the opportunity to join a stable, well-established accounting team within a long-standing organization known for strong employee tenure and long‑term stability. Key Responsibilities This role is responsible for supporting various aspects of general accounting, operational accounting, and month‑end close activities in a construction environment. Responsibilities include journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, accounts payable and receivable support, cash receipt postings, and additional accounting support functions tied to internal operations. The position will also support fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, 1099 processing, tangible tax filings, intercompany reconciliations, and accounting administration. The role works closely with accounting leadership to support accurate financial reporting, operational workflows, and ongoing accounting processes across the business. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of accounting and general ledger experience High school diploma or GED is required Prior experience within construction, manufacturing, or project‑based environments is highly preferred Experience supporting month‑end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, 1099 preparation, journal entries, and general ledger activities Strong attention to detail and overall accounting accuracy Comfortable working within fast‑paced operational environments with shifting priorities Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills Experience working within ERP/accounting systems required; Vista by Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, CMiC, Jonas, Procore, or similar construction accounting systems preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 required Ability to work collaboratively across accounting and operational teams Strong professionalism, adaptability, communication skills, and overall ability to operate effectively within a collaborative team environment Benefits & Compensation Target compensation range is approximately $70K to $80K, depending on overall experience and alignment Non‑exempt/hourly structure with overtime eligibility during heavier reporting periods as needed Bonus potential based on company and individual performance Strong long‑term retirement offerings and 401(k) with company match Comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits Long‑term stability within a well‑established organization with strong employee tenure About Us Steadfast Executive Search LLC is a boutique search firm specializing in direct‑hire accounting and finance recruitment throughout Florida.
