We value each member of our diverse and talented team - because at Palmer Food Services, our associates are our unfair advantage.What We Value:Honesty & IntegrityService & ExcellenceCollaboration & TeamworkFamily & CommunityDependability & LoyaltyCompassionRoles and Responsibilities:Live the company's values by displaying our high standard characteristics and behaviors that lead to our collective success as outlined in our Values in Action.Perform the packaging operation to ensure the product meets the specifications providing efficient storage and shipmentAccounts PayableProcess vendor invoices accurately and timely.Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.Collaborate across departments to research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.Prepare weekly check runs, electronic payments, and other disbursements.Reconcile vendor statements and outstanding balances.Ensure proper coding of invoices and adherence to company policies.Accounts ReceivableSupport invoicing, payment application, and customer setup.Assist with the analysis of credit balances, write-offs, and account adjustments in accordance with company policies.General AccountingPerform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and analyses as requested by management.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.Maintain & update vendor database.Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting Department.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.Demonstrated experience performing bank reconciliations and researching reconciling items.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.Salary:$24.00- $26.00/ a hourShift:Monday- Friday 7:30 AM- 4:30 PMBenefits of working Full-Time at Palmer Food Services:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid Benefit Time (PTO, Holiday and Sick)401k Retirement Plan with Employer MatchingEligibility for Annual Profit-Sharing Bonus15% Employee Discount on Retail Grocery Items (Includes Fresh Meat & Seafood)Associate Discounts on Warehouse Food ProductsEmployee Appreciation EventsAnd much more
