Accounting Specialist

Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Representative for a local client. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has excellent organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
Assist with month-end closing and other accounting functions as needed
Perform general administrative duties to support the accounting team

Qualifications:

Previous accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with accounting software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
