Job description
Midpage: legal data layer and AI legal research; Anthropics legal data partner; 200 law firms (NYC 8 people $6.1M).
Comp: $170K-$240K 0-0.4% equity. Location: On-site NYC. Visa: Not open to visas (US citizen / GC).
Responsibilities
Pipelines enriching case-law documents with metadata (overrules appeals remands)
Reliability/accuracy of hundreds of web scrapers
Optimize/evaluate core utils (citation extraction/resolution court hierarchy)
Expose services via APIs MCPs websockets
Benchmark/evaluate core tasks
Tech: Python Postgres Prefect Vercel GCP ElasticSearch Docker TypeScript

2 yrs backend technical generalist (fullstack bonus) startup experience ideal
Data pipelines basic/intermediate infra/devops
Python and SQL; stats/ML bonus
