Responsibilities:

• Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
• Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources.
• Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law.
• Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
• Maintains the plant's affirmative action program.
• Manages the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements, to assure safe and healthy working conditions, and reduce frequency of accidents.
• Manages workers' compensation and non-work related disability programs that control costs and ensure quality care for employees through coordination with the medical community.
• Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent employee relations experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.
• Previous HR leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
• A strong pattern of initiative, achievement, and leadership.
• Proven problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range & Benefits:

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $89,000 - $124,700 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
