Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square foot of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions. Facilities Engineering is comprised of 150 professionals, including engineers, MEP mechanics, building finishes and support staff. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Providing Maintenance and Engineering service and responding to service calls throughout the Hospital complex. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems that are considered to be within his/her capability and calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor. Responsibilities Performs troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and systems as assigned. Responds to and assists as necessary, in emergency and disaster situations. Checks buildings to ensure that essential systems are operating properly. Performs preventative maintenance on schedule and in accordance with department standards.
