Hello there! We are a family residing in Lynnwood, Washington, seeking a responsible sitter that is ok with sitting on an occasional basis. My fiancé and I need to be able to have time me to ourselves every now and then, so we need a sitter for those types of hours. As well as having time to go shopping and getting certain things done like normal every day things that we can’t get done while taking care of our kid. This position requires a live-out sitter who has experience with autistic children. If you do have experience with autistic children, the you understand the difficulties that come with taking care of them. However, our son isn’t as difficult as others higher on the spectrum. He is nonverbal but he understands most things you tell him, and knows how to get his point across when necessary. He does say a few words and we would want you to encourage him to say more when you get the opportunity. Most important thing is that he loves to be loved and loves to show love and we are very grateful for that. We need someone who flexible with their schedule, and is comfortable with late hours every now and then. Late hours are actually easier because he will be sleeping. We understand the importance of balancing your schedule so we will make sure to have clear communication about our needs ahead of time. We are offering a competitive wage of $30 per hour for hours when he is awake, and $20 per hour for hours when he is sleeping. We’re hoping for a fun, safe environment for our kid.
