Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during all procedures, delivering information and guidance with empathy and patience
• Work in harmony with radiologists and referring physicians to supply precise and high-quality diagnostic images
• Skillfully operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, diligently reporting any malfunction
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and uphold patient records within the electronic health system
• Keep your skills sharp by staying up to date with innovations in ultrasound imaging techniques and practices

Education Requirements

• Degree, either an Associate's or a Bachelor's, in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed
