CT Technologist – Full‑Time Weekend Location: Aiken, South Carolina Shift: Friday through Sunday, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM About the Role: The CT Technologist assists physicians and performs radiological, paramedical, and clerical duties required in the care and assistance of patients. The position supports daily operations of the CT department under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor and physicians. Responsibilities Prepare room, equipment, contrast media and materials for procedures. Maintain a clean and stocked CT procedure room daily. Warm CT equipment daily and ensure it operates properly; notify appropriate personnel if issues arise. Prepare patients for CT procedures – explain procedure, transfer to examination table, position correctly, and assist after procedure. Label scans accurately and use proper patient ID on film prior to development. Perform general clerical, file room, darkroom, and transportation duties as needed. Practice patient care according to ARMC policy. Assist radiologists during procedures and capture scans as requested. Understand proper sequence of scheduling exams for the entire Radiology department. Apply knowledge of age‑related factors to imaging of patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Accept additional work during periods of low case volume and assist others as requested. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all data, records, forms, reports, and other information. Implement radiation safety procedures when working with radiation‑producing equipment. Read and review all department manuals annually. Ensure patient charges are entered into RMS accurately and timely. Maintain Universal Protocol policy measures. Send images to PACS and verify availability for interpretation in a timely manner. Know proper method of using CT power injectors. Rotate to other imaging departments as needed; participate in holiday and on‑call rotations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Successful completion of a radiological program or equivalent military training. BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of employment). Current active or temporary South Carolina license issued by the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association and current RT registration.
