The COO will be tasked with translating the CEO's vision into daily operations, overseeing core functions such as sales, rental, service, parts, logistics, and fleet management. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial distribution environments, and a deep understanding of dealership operations, including rental fleets, depreciation strategies, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities for the COO include strategic leadership, operational excellence, process improvement, team leadership, operations management, data-driven decision-making, asset and inventory management, financial stewardship, and customer and vendor relations. The role demands a leader with 10-15+ years of progressive experience, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and an MBA is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on yet strategic leadership style, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a strong analytical acumen with a proven track record of data-driven improvement initiatives. The COO will also be involved in strategic growth initiatives, such as geographic expansion, OEM negotiations, and post-acquisition integration, and must be adept at building and maintaining executive-level relationships with key stakeholders.
