IT Strategy Consultant- Office of the CIO

Experience & Qualification Requirements 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), infrastructure, application operations, IT strategy, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role with an established IT consulting company. Experience supporting project delivery in a consulting environment, including exposure to various stages of project execution. Demonstrated experience supporting digital transformation initiatives involving organizational structures, processes, and systems. ITIL 4 Foundation certification required; ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certification is a plus. Experience designing or managing ITSM processes and tools, ideally ServiceNow or a comparable platform. Experience in automotive, mobility, manufacturing, or other hardware-driven industries is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Functional Skills Requirements Assess clients' current ITSM and IT operating model maturity and design target-state processes aligned with ITIL 4 practices. Map current-state business and IT processes and design future-state processes that simplify handoffs, reduce cycle times, and align with ITSM and ERP capabilities. Develop project roadmaps and detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables. Lead specific workstreams or smaller sub-projects within larger transformation programs. Develop executive briefings, strategic recommendations, and decision materials for CIOs, C-level stakeholders, steering committees, and senior management. Plan and facilitate client workshops, driving collaborative discussions and alignment on project objectives. Conduct desk research, expert interviews, and data analysis to develop insights and strategic recommendations. Own client deliverables end to end, including assessments, process designs, runbooks, status reports, RAID logs, and steering committee updates. Design RFPs supporting clients' sourcing strategies for IT operations, service management, infrastructure, and application managed services, including scope, service requirements, and SLAs. Business & Leadership Requirements Work directly with clients and senior stakeholders to translate complex IT and transformation challenges into practical recommendations. Effectively engage with CIOs, C-level stakeholders, steering committees, senior management, and multidisciplinary project teams. Manage client interactions at the team level while building productive relationships with key stakeholders. Support business development activities by identifying new opportunities and expanding relationships within existing client accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop client proposals, research, presentations, and supporting materials. Conduct market research and identify industry trends and growth opportunities to support Diconium's business strategy. Contribute to consulting methodologies, blueprints, best practices, templates, and tools that strengthen Diconium's consulting capabilities. Support Diconium's continued U.S. expansion by helping implement scalable structures, processes, and systems. Technical Expertise Requirements Strong knowledge of IT Service Management and IT operating models, including the ability to assess existing environments and design target-state processes. Strong understanding of ITIL 4 practices and their application within enterprise IT environments. Hands-on knowledge of ITSM tools, ideally ServiceNow or a comparable platform. Understanding of digital transformation, technology strategy, organizational design, and enterprise systems. Understanding of plant-floor systems and the IT/OT boundary, including MES, SCADA, PLCs, and ERP integration, is a plus. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, including executive presentations and data analysis. Strong research and analytical skills, including industry, market, and competitor research. Consulting & Project Delivery Requirements Take ownership of assigned workstreams and ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet client expectations. Maintain project documentation and support post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement. Prepare strategic and operational briefings and decision documents for senior management committees. Apply a structured, analytical, and results-oriented approach to complex business and technology challenges. Work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams with limited guidance. Support change management and communication efforts within broader transformation initiatives. Preferred Experience Experience within the automotive, mobility, manufacturing, or other hardware-driven sectors. Experience with ServiceNow or comparable enterprise ITSM platforms. ITIL 4 Managing Professional or ITIL 4 Strategic Leader certification. Experience with plant-floor technology environments, including MES, SCADA, PLCs, and ERP integrations. Experience supporting business development and consulting sales initiatives. Experience with digital strategy, growth, or AI-related transformation initiatives. German language skills are a plus. Work Arrangement Requirements This position is based in Metro Detroit, Michigan . Hybrid work model combining remote work with regular on-site presence. Ability and willingness to travel to client sites across the United States, Canada, and occasionally internationally , depending on project requirements. Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed, international, and multidisciplinary teams. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
