Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5-1:6 patient ratios. Every other weekend required. Contract length options of 13 to 26 weeks available. Orientation provided on Mondays with 12 hours of initial training.

Highlights:

• Specialized 26-bed Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit providing telemetry-capable care for patients aged 65 and older
• Work alongside specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses focused on preserving cognitive and physical function
• Located within a 641-bed Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with advanced specialty programs
• EPIC charting system with 1 year of EPIC experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
• First-time travelers welcome; paid pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours reimbursable)

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina or multistate nursing license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in IV starts, blood product administration, central/peripheral/PICC line management
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, remote telemetry monitoring
• Knowledge of heparin protocols and geriatric-focused care
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
