About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active state or multistate license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year of experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry. 1 year of EPIC experience required. Telemetry-capable care experience. Proficient in geriatric-focused care. Description: The role is for a registered nurse in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The primary patient population consists of hospitalized patients aged 65 and older. The nurse will be responsible for telemetry monitoring and geriatric-focused care. Responsibilities include IV starts, blood product administration, and central/PICC line management. Dysrhythmia interpretation and management are essential skills for this position. The nurse will also manage heparin protocols and telemetry-capable care. The nursing team focuses on preserving cognitive and physical function of the patients. This is a multidisciplinary environment with support from various departments. Floating may be required to other units based on patient census needs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 1:5. Continuous professional development and adherence to protocols are required.
