Candidates must possess an active Registered Nurse license. The assignment length is 13 weeks. Shifts are scheduled for 3x12 hours, days only. Shift start times may vary between 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience. First timers will not be accepted for this position. Certifications in BLS are required, while ACLS and CNOR are preferred. Call coverage is limited to fill in for any call-offs only. Weekend work is required. Floating to like units may occur if needed. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Local candidates will not be accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles away. Pending licenses are accepted, but the license must be in hand for an automatic offer. Time off requests will be approved on an individual basis upon offer. All time off must be included in the submission. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours every two weeks, with the traveler potentially being called off for one 12-hour shift within that timeframe. The facility is an acute hospital known for its dedication to exceptional patient care. Total staffed beds within the unit are 407. Daily census averages 40 patients. Varied patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Key skills required include experience with abdominal and vascular surgeries, trauma care, and various advanced surgical procedures. Additional responsibilities may include scrubbing for surgery and assisting with patient care pre- and post-operatively.
