Senior Claims Adjuster, Commercial Trucking

Job Description:
A prominent insurance organization specializing in claims handling and risk management seeks a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster to join its dedicated claims team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in commercial trucking, bodily injury and complex liability claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving high-exposure claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards while maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate and resolve complex commercial trucking claims including bodily injury, property damage, total loss and high-exposure claims.

• Determine coverage, liability, damages, and reserves in accordance with policy language and applicable state regulations.

• Manage claims from initial intake through final resolution, including pre-litigation and litigated matters.

• Coordinate with defense counsel, independent adjusters, and vendors to facilitate timely and cost-effective settlements.

• Negotiate settlements within authorized limits while maintaining quality standards and severity control.

• Maintain precise claims documentation and ensure adherence to internal audits and regulatory compliance.

• Engage professionally with insureds, brokers and internal teams through clear, concise communication.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of claims adjusting experience, with strong preference for commercial trucking and bodily injury expertise

• Proven experience handling complex and high-exposure claims

• Litigation experience (preferred)

• Active or able to obtain necessary adjuster licenses

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while contributing to a team
