Mechanical Drafter (BBBH2324888) Round Rock, Texas Salary: USD35 - USD42 per hour Overview The team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter to support custom engineering solutions that enable the integration of standard products into large-scale turnkey customer systems. The role works closely with customers, engineers, and contract manufacturers to design, document, and deploy custom mechanical solutions. Key Responsibilities Create custom mechanical drawings, designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Design, model, and prototype mechanical components for test and measurement systems Gather requirements and generate technical specifications Collaborate with engineering teams and external manufacturers Support deployment of custom solutions Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics 5+ years of mechanical drafting/design experience 3-5 years of strong CREO experience Proficiency with CREO, Pro/E, and SolidWorks Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical design principles Experience creating detailed drawings and design documentation Experience working with suppliers/manufacturers U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (ITAR/DoD clearance eligible) Preferred Qualifications Fixture and tooling design Thermal and stress analysis FMEA and RCCA methodologies Manufacturing processes (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal) ESD knowledge Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented with strong drafting skills Collaborative team player Strong problem-solving abilities Self-motivated and able to work independently Comfortable managing projects from concept through completion Quick learner with a strong drive to succeed T his is a senior-level mechanical drafting/design role focused on aerospace, defense, and government projects.
