Position Overview:

An established commercial property management organization is seeking an experienced Building Engineer to maintain and operate commercial building systems. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance skills, along with the ability to respond to emergencies and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain commercial building HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building equipment.

• Handle daily maintenance requests, engineering work orders, and service calls.

• Monitor building systems to maintain proper temperature and comfort conditions for tenants and common areas.

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and plumbing issues.

• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.

• Respond to building emergencies and provide after-hours support when required.

• Perform snow removal using snow blowers, shovels, and other appropriate equipment.

• Complete exterior maintenance tasks as needed.

• Coordinate professionally with tenants, vendors, and other building personnel.

• Maintain safe working practices and ensure building systems operate reliably.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.

• Hands-on electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair skills.

• Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.

• Ability to handle emergency maintenance situations and respond after hours.

• Willingness to carry a company-provided or designated cell phone for emergency calls.

• Ability to perform snow removal and exterior maintenance duties.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC certification.
