Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls. This position plays a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting organizational growth through sound fiscal management. This position can lead to a fast-track Controller position within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records. Coordinate and prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors. Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections. Support system implementations, upgrades, and improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Supervise and mentor accounting team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.
