Monitoring Diagnostic Technician

General Overview This job is responsible for performing standard and complex electroencephalographic recording and detecting malfunctions of equipment and making repairs. Also performs all duties of a cardiology tech. Responsibilities Applies electrodes on predetermined positions on patient's head and checks accuracy for testing and recognizes and eliminates causes of electrical interference for a clear study for better interpretation. (40%) Calibrates and keeps equipment clean to maintain performance. (40%) Assesses and reviews tracings and abstracts information from patients’ records to help neurologist interpret results. (20%) Other duties as assigned or requested.
