Manager, Training and Quality Management (Remote)

Job Title: Extrusion Manager Location: Grand Rapids, MI Salary: $140,000–$150,000 + Bonus About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Extrusion Manager to lead a 24/7 plastics manufacturing operation. This role will oversee production, safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while developing and supporting production supervisors. Key Responsibilities Lead extrusion operations across a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Manage and develop production supervisors and employees. Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, waste, downtime, and efficiency . Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions. Lead root cause analysis, Lean/5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, R&D, vendors, and plant leadership. Maintain production records, work orders, and department budgets. Build employee engagement and a strong, accountable production culture. Qualifications 5–10 years of production leadership experience in plastics process manufacturing. Strong people-management and supervisor-development experience. Hands-on, floor-focused leadership style. Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Blown-film extrusion preferred ; cast film, blow molding, or thermoforming experience considered. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or other quality tools preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Proficiency with Excel and Word.
