Admission Access Clerk - Patient Services Bushton, KS $32,009 - $39,099 a year Full Time Essential Functions: Responsible for obtaining all necessary demographic details, verifying insurance eligibility, securing assignments and signatures to admit or pre-admit patients while adhering to all applicable State and Federal regulations. Maintains a high accuracy rate nationally. Notifies Financial Counselors regarding private pay or uncertain insurance coverage. Distributes admission paperwork promptly to relevant departments and staff. Assists with patient transport as needed, serving individuals from newborns to the elderly. Complies with HIPAA privacy and security standards concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Collects co-pays, co-insurance, and deductible amounts according to insurance eligibility programs and contracts. Processes patient payments and completes daily deposits. Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required: Basic clerical abilities, computer proficiency, and keyboarding skills. Effective communication skills are essential. Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Medical terminology knowledge is advantageous but not required.
