You are committed to fair, rigorous and authoritative journalism. How You'll Support the Mission: Break news about the president and his administration, delivering timely and agenda-setting reporting. Produce ambitious news, analysis and enterprise stories grounded in original reporting and fresh insight. Cultivate and maintain high-level sources inside and outside the administration. Chronicle internal debates, policy decisions and political strategy, illuminating their real-world consequences. Report and write quickly as events unfold, including filing early versions of stories when necessary. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the White House, national security, politics and policy teams to dominate coverage. The Skills and Experiences You Bring: A proven track record of delivering exclusive news and impactful enterprise on a competitive beat. Demonstrated ability to report and write breaking news with speed, precision and clarity. Deep understanding of politics and the federal government. Strong source-building skills and comfort covering powerful institutions. A commitment to accuracy, fairness and the highest standards of journalism ethics.
