High School Data Processing Clerk

Maintain complete and accurate student schedule/grades records; Assist in preparing the master schedule

Minimum Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate computer using a variety of basic applications
• Ability to effectively use district programs after training and with reasonable help-desk assistance

Minimum Experience:

One (1) year of clerical/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience or background

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Perform all clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate and complete student schedule/grade reports
2. Assist in preparation of the master schedule
3. Assist administrators, teachers, and counselors as needed
4. Maintain confidentiality of information and loyalty to the district
5. Remain informed of and comply with state, district, and local policies and regulations concerning primary job functions
6. Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used:

Computer/peripherals, typewriter, facsimile, copier, calculator

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision-making. Frequent in-district and occasional in-state or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.

Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
