Registered Nurse General Surgery OR

• Start Date: Immediate
• Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm
• Estimated Pay Package: $1900 (including stipend)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical procedure.
• Assist surgical teams during general surgery operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, comfort, and overall status pre-, intra-, and post-operative.
• Administer medications and provide care as per physician instructions and standard protocols.
• Ensure compliance with infection control practices and safety standards within the OR.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to patient care and surgical interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum one year of experience working in an Operating Room environment, preferably in General Surgery.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
