Pharmacy Technician - Infusion Pharmacy

Pay Rate: $20.00 per Hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our infusion pharmacy team in North Charleston, SC. In this role, you will support the preparation, fulfillment, and distribution of prescription orders while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescription medications, including:
  • Unit doses
  • Specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Injectable medications
  • IV therapies
  • Enteral products and related supplies
• Compound medications using appropriate materials, equipment, and sterile environments when required
• Process, package, and ship pharmacy orders, ensuring all medications, supplies, and patient education materials are included
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and proper storage of medications and supplies
• Maintain refrigeration requirements for temperature-sensitive products
• Monitor, calibrate, and maintain pharmacy equipment
• Fill dispensing units and support warehouse operations as needed
• Prepare and scan documents and enter prescription information into pharmacy systems
• Verify patient information and assist with prescription processing
• Contact patients to confirm order details, payment information, and delivery preferences
• Resolve rejected claims and assist with medication-related inquiries
• Review and interpret prescription orders and verify insurance coverage and reimbursement eligibility

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy preferred
• Previous Infusion Pharmacy or Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow regulatory and company compliance requirements
