Hours of Work : 12hr shift Days Of Week : 14on / 14off Work Shift : Job Description : Daytime Hospitalist Physician in Dallas, Texas Methodist Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible, Internal Medicine trained physician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Level I trauma center, where you will provide expert care to critically injured and ill patients. It is home to the only adult Level I Trauma Center in Southern Dallas as well as the first and only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Southern Dallas.* Schedule that supports your lifestyle: Work 14on/14off scheduling, allowing you ample time to recharge, pursue personal interests and maintain a healthy work-life balance.* Be a part of our dynamic team: Work with 42 hospitalist physicians and APPs* Ability to work with Residents: Be a part of growing and shaping new Hospitalists Job Requirements: * Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)* Must be ABIM Certified* Must have active Texas Medical License and DEA* Must have at least two (2) years of Hospitalist experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Job Responsibilities: * Collaborate and communicate effectively with other physicians, APPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals* Conduct thorough physical assessment and medical histories of hospitalized patients* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests, to make accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and test results* Develop and implement patient tailored treatment plans* Provide patient and family education regarding their condition and treatments* Maintain accurate medical records and follows the standard practices of documentation* Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care and health maintenance* Stay up to date on evidence-based practices relevant to hospital medicine and follow hospital-based protocols Come join Methodist Medical Group and make a difference in the Dallas community.
