A Busy Store Creates Opportunity This is a fast-paced position in a busy, high-volume Service Department. For the right Service Advisor, that’s a major advantage. You’ll work with a steady flow of customers and manage multiple repair orders, service recommendations, customer conversations and follow-up needs throughout the day. What You’ll Do As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will: Greet customers and identify their vehicle service and repair needs Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document them on repair orders Advise customers regarding factory-recommended maintenance and needed repairs Review technician findings and explain recommendations clearly to customers Prepare and communicate service estimates Obtain customer authorization for maintenance and repairs Keep customers informed throughout the repair process Communicate expected completion times and changes as necessary Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business Coordinate effectively with technicians, Parts personnel and Service management Monitor repair-order progress Maintain accurate repair-order and customer documentation Follow up with customers when appropriate Help maintain an efficient and professional Service Drive Meet individual and department customer-satisfaction and performance objectives Represent Arlington Heights Ford professionally in every customer interaction Compensation Annual Earning Potential: $80,000–$130,000+ Arlington Heights Ford is a busy, high-volume Service Department where successful Service Advisors have the opportunity to earn a strong income. $80,000 represents the lower end of expected annual earnings for a successful full-time Service Advisor in this position. High-performing Advisors have the opportunity to earn well into six figures. Compensation is performance-based. Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance, customer activity, repair-order volume and the terms of the applicable compensation plan. Requirements Previous automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience is preferred. We are also interested in speaking with candidates who have strong relevant automotive experience combined with excellent customer-service, communication and sales skills. Relevant backgrounds may include: Automotive Service Writer Service Consultant Fixed Operations customer service Automotive customer service Other related automotive service experience CDK experience preferred Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Tasca Family Commitment Tasca Automotive Group was founded in 1943 by Bob Tasca, Sr. In 1953 Bob opened the original Tasca Ford in Bristol, Rhode Island. Just one year later this dealership was completely destroyed by Hurricane Carol. Bob relocated and ultimately opened up the new Tasca Ford at 777 Taunton Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. It was here that Bob and his team became the second largest Ford dealership in the world in the 1960's. This was also the birthplace of the Tasca Racing program and many historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet, Tasca Street Boss, and Mystery race cars. Bob opened Tasca Lincoln Mercury in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 1972. TLM became the highest volume Lincoln Mercury dealership in the world in 1986, and repeated again in 1987 and 1988 while also winning the Ford President's Award for outstanding customer satisfaction. This fulfilled Bob's dream of saying "None Bigger, None Better." It was also at the Seekonk store that Bob launched the innovative Pre-Trade program, pioneering the concept of short term trade cycles and leasing. He was also joined in the business by his three sons, thus fulfilling another of his dreams to build a successful family business. In 2002 Bob opened his flagship dealership in Cranston, RI. Featuring Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, and Volvo the Cranston location was one of the most high tech and largest facilities in the country. It featured amenities such as drive in service write up, an in house Italian café, drive through carwash, and spacious customer lounge. It was at this time that Bob was joined in the business by his grandsons and granddaughters, continuing his dream of a family business. When Bob Tasca, Sr. passed away in 2010 he left a proud legacy of honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction. 70 years and three generations later the Tasca Family continues to grow.
