Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel LPN for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, requiring at least 1 year of skilled nursing experience and 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience.

Details

Free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 49 available beds

Rehab Nursing IRF unit caring for adults with high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries

Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a Trauma Center

Patient ratio of 1:7

Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as vital machines, EKG machines, and blood glucose monitors

Charting performed in Epic EMR

12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

On-call requirements apply

May be required to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the near future

Requirements

LPN license required if applicable

BLS certification required (AHA)

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment

Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required

Inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience required

Preferred experience in Med Surg or inpatient rehabilitation related to patient acuity

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

Assist with high-acuity patients, functioning similarly to a medical-surgical unit at times

All nurses expected to help CNAs and respond to patient call lights for safety

Facility accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs

Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift along with two paid 15-minute breaks for a 12-hour shift

Staff not permitted to stay past shift end time without house supervisor approval

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time

Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
