Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,450 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery at a facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We are looking for Labor and Delivery RNs with at least 3 years of recent acute care experience. L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during, and after delivery of a baby. They ensure the medical and emotional needs of their patients are met throughout the birthing process. As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with epidurals, pain medication, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean deliveries. You will also perform the following tasks: Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor. Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques. Check cervix periodically to monitor progression or lack of dilation. Ensure beds remain clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after birthing. Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc. Provide immediate care to the newborn. L&D Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. They must be able to lift 20 lbs easily, and occasionally lift patients up to 50 lbs. Quick coping- skills, stress tolerance, and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds are essential. Requirements: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP, 3 Years of recent acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required before the assignment.
