Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Demonstrated experience working with high school students, especially those in Life Skills or similar settings
• Strong skills in developing and carrying out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills working alongside staff, families, and related service providers
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to a diverse range of learning needs
• Comfortable working exclusively onsite in a classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to high school students enrolled in the Essential Life Skills program
• Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Track student progress and adjust goals and strategies as needed
• Foster a safe and positive classroom climate that encourages student engagement and independence
• Collaborate with support staff, counselors, and families to coordinate wraparound services
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district policies
