About the Role A Product Engineer responsible for owning a large portion of one of our products, working end‑to‑end from research to implementation. Responsibilities Research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes. Design and built automated interview scheduling that automates the "Calendar Tetris" problem, presenting available times to candidates in our responsive web app. Built a generalized declarative filter architecture that allows users to create complex filters for any record, with a consistent UI and SQL compilation on the backend. Specced, designed, and implemented a feature that allows users to complete signing offers entirely within Ashby, including customer research, prototype development, and integration with other features. Qualifications Comfortable tackling any part of a technology stack and delivering on complex features across frontend and backend. Experience with product and technical ambiguity, delivering powerful abstractions and flexibility to solve broad classes of problems. Able to strike a balance between speed and quality; comfortable with rapid development without compromising product excellence. Ambitious, continuously learning, and open to feedback to level up independently. Excellent collaborator and communicator, able to vet decisions with stakeholders and keep teams aligned.
