President — Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Professional Services

Pay: $250,000 – $350,000 base salary to start, with total Year 1 compensation of $500,000 – $1,000,000 including performance bonuses. Base salary increases to $450,000 – $500,000 once revenue milestones are achieved — plus equity ownership with milestone-based vesting.

Location: Based in Phoenix, Arizona (on-site) — with regular travel to Dallas and Fort Worth, TX, and Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh, NC

About the Opportunity

We are launching a new heating, cooling, plumbing, and professional services company built for rapid, multi-market growth. From day one, the company will begin operating in six high-growth Sun Belt markets — Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Charlotte, NC; Greensboro, NC; and Raleigh, NC — with a clear mission: to scale to over $100 million in annual revenue within five years or less , and position the company for a sale to a private equity firm.

The company launches with a powerful built-in advantage. The Rise48 Equity multifamily portfolio — more than 11,000 residential and commercial units owned and managed across these markets — serves as the launch pad that makes the business profitable from the start. That captive base is the initial foundation of revenue; the President's mandate is to build well beyond it by aggressively growing third-party residential and commercial business in each market.

This is an entrepreneurial, equity-owner role . The President will participate in equity ownership from day one , with the ability to earn 10% to 20% equity in the company as defined growth milestones are achieved — paid out upon a sale, based on the company's exit value. Role Summary

The President is the primary executive leader responsible for standing up and scaling the entire organization across all six launch markets. This individual will own the company's growth agenda — driving third-party business development, operational excellence, and market expansion — while building the systems, teams, and culture required to grow from launch to a $100M+, private-equity-ready enterprise. The President will partner closely with ownership and the Board to set strategy and hit the milestones that unlock both company value and personal equity.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Business Development (Primary Focus)

• Own the company's third-party revenue growth across residential and commercial clients in all initial markets — Phoenix, Dallas, Fort Worth, Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh.
• Build a repeatable, multi-region business development engine that wins new customers well beyond the Rise48 captive base.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for each market, then standardize the playbook to scale rapidly into new regions across the country.
• Identify, evaluate, and launch new service lines, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities that accelerate the path to $100M+ in revenue.

Strategic Leadership & Scaling

• Develop and execute the company's strategic plan with a focus on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and a five-year (or sooner) private-equity exit.
• Lead the company through aggressive scaling, ensuring systems, processes, and teams evolve to support multi-market expansion.
• Collaborate with ownership and the Board to set clear financial and operational goals and the milestones that drive equity vesting.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee all day-to-day operations across HVAC, plumbing, and other professional service divisions in every market.
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
• Optimize operational workflows, dispatching, field operations, supply chain, and customer experience.
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to track performance across all business units and markets.

Financial & Performance Management

• Own full P&L responsibility, delivering consistent revenue and EBITDA expansion toward a $100M+ enterprise.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, and prepare the company for a private-equity transaction.
• Drive margin improvements through pricing strategy, operational efficiencies, and cost controls.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of department leaders and market managers.
• Cultivate an accountable, people-first culture emphasizing communication, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Align organizational structure and talent strategy with aggressive growth objectives.

Market Growth & Industry Relationships

• Leverage established relationships in the Phoenix market to accelerate launch, and build new relationships across the Texas and North Carolina markets.
• Represent the company within industry networks, trade associations, and peer groups in each region.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes impacting the industry.

Location & Travel

• This role is based locally in Phoenix, Arizona, and reports on-site.
• Regular travel to the other initial markets (Dallas, Fort Worth, Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh) is required to stand up operations and drive third-party growth.

Qualifications

Required

• Proven business development leader with a demonstrated track record of growing revenue and scaling operations across multiple regions or markets.
• 10+ years of executive leadership experience in heating, cooling, plumbing, or related home-/commercial-services industries.
• Demonstrated success scaling a services company , including new-market expansion, team building, and rapid revenue growth.
• Experience helping lead a company toward or through a private-equity transaction of $100M+ (sale, recap, or acquisition), or comparable high-growth exit preparation.
• Strong existing relationships in the Phoenix, Arizona market — vendors, partners, talent pipelines, and industry associations — with the ability to build the same in new markets.
• Entrepreneurial, ownership mindset — motivated to be an equity owner and build value through a private-equity exit.
• Deep understanding of operational best practices in residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, and professional services.
• Strong financial acumen managing multi-unit, multi-market P&Ls.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Phoenix, AZ, and able to travel regularly to Texas and North Carolina.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred

• Experience in private-equity-backed environments or rapid-growth, multi-location service companies.
• Background leading organizations with 150+ employees or multi-location/multi-region operations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
