Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience to join the Pharmaceutical group in Washington, D.C. This role involves working closely with clients and inventors throughout the patent process. Duties Work closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process. Prepare and file patent applications. Conduct freedom‑to‑operate and patentability analysis. Assist in other responsibilities or projects as needed. Requirements 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience. Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts or New York. Admitted to the USPTO. Education Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field. J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to the USPTO. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
