Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.What an Adjunct Instructor's Day Looks Like:Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:Education and Experience:Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design OR bachelor's degree in graphic design, Multimedia, and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline which can be documented. And demonstrated technology skills in Adobe Cloud and documented work experience (through a portfolio).Knowledge of:Microsoft Office Professional or similar applicationsUtilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologiesAbility to:Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.Work Environment and Physical Demand:Reach and grasp objectsStoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawlUse of video display terminalUse of manual dexterity and fine motor skillsCommunicate information orally and in writingReceive and understand information through oral and written communicationProofread and check documents for accuracyThis job description is intended to be generic in nature and describe the job's essential functions.
