Baxter seeks an Engineer I in Aibonito, Puerto Rico to design, develop, and implement cost-effective manufacturing projects and technologies. The role involves process optimization, equipment validation, automation support, and technical supervision within a medical device production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform process value analysis and waste prevention initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Support implementation and enhancement of manufacturing monitoring systems for quality and performance
- Execute IQ and software validations; manage process changes and automation project development
- Supervise machine operators and technicians; coordinate preventive maintenance and capital project activities
- Generate corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality issues and scrap reduction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 0–2 years of engineering or related field experience
- Technical communication skills, written and verbal
- Collaborative teamwork and problem-solving ability
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Ability to work under pressure on routine design and engineering tasks
