We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a non-profit organization in Charleston, South Carolina on a 60-day Contract assignment. This position will support day-to-day receivables operations, help maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely billing and payment follow-up. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling invoice activity, communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances, and assisting with select accounts payable tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming accounts receivable activity by preparing, reviewing, and recording customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor open balances and follow up with commercial customers to encourage timely payment and resolve outstanding receivables.
• Process invoice entries in the accounting system while maintaining organized and accurate financial documentation.
• Support billing operations by verifying invoice details, updating records, and addressing discrepancies when they arise.
• Assist with payment application and account reconciliation to ensure receivable balances reflect current activity.
• Provide light accounts payable support, including entering vendor invoices and helping maintain payable records.
• Use tools such as QuickBooks and Ramp to complete daily transaction processing and maintain financial data integrity.• Experience working in accounts receivable, including billing, invoice processing, and payment tracking.
• Background in commercial collections with the ability to communicate professionally regarding past-due accounts.
• Familiarity with customer invoice preparation, invoice entry, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Ability to assist with vendor invoice entry and other basic accounts payable responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Ramp or similar financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a short-term contract environment.
