Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Job Full Description

Express Employment is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant for a law firm. Job duties include:

• Supporting two attorneys with calendar management, including scheduling, rescheduling, and coordinating appointments, calls, and virtual meetings
• Managing all filing using Clio
• Reviewing incoming mail for client documents
• Creating and managing client contact records
• Reviewing and editing pre-bills, transferring time entries, and ensuring compliance with billing guidelines
• Coordinating billing with accounting department and preparing invoices for clients
• Drafting and revising legal documents including letters, agreements, deeds, and loan documents; managing versions and redlines in Clio
• Conducting factual and property research for clients and legal matters
• Assisting in company formation and maintenance, including filings, EIN applications, and drafting governance documents
• Preparing and updating marketing materials such as bios, transaction lists, and website content
• Managing presentations for attorneys and real estate brokers by coordinating logistics and materials
• Applying for and tracking presentation approvals with the Idaho Real Estate Commission
• Managing desktop access to historical files and creating form documents
• Tracking and submitting CLE materials for Idaho and Oregon bar requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in business or transactional paralegal work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
• Familiarity with legal billing practices and entity formation preferred
• Highly organized and detailed, with strong time management critical thinking skills

Position Prerequisites:

• Bachelor's degree
• Certificate of completion of an ABA approved paralegal program
• 3+ years of work experience in a law firm

Other details:

• Annual salary of $80-88K
• Schedule varies, averaging about 45 hours per week
