Litigation Associate | Complex Civil Litigation (Greater Indianapolis)

MB Attorney Search is conducting a confidential retained search for an established Indianapolis, IN law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Environmental and Insurance Recovery practice .

Despite the practice focus, this is fundamentally a complex civil litigation opportunity, and prior environmental or insurance recovery experience is not required . The firm is primarily looking for a strong civil litigator and can teach the substantive environmental and insurance issues involved in the practice.

The group handles sophisticated state and federal litigation for Fortune 100 and other major corporate clients , including matters that proceed to multi-day jury trials. This is an opportunity for an associate seeking meaningful hands-on experience, direct partner mentorship, reasonable hours, and a clear path to partnership.

The Opportunity

• $165,000+ base compensation , depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities
• 1850 billable-hour expectation
• Hands-on experience with depositions, substantive motions, experts, trial preparation, and trials
• Sophisticated litigation for major corporate clients
• Direct partner mentorship and increasing responsibility
• Demonstrated path to partnership
• Periodic work-from-home flexibility

Qualifications

• Approximately 1-5 years of substantive civil litigation experience ; strong candidates outside that range may also be considered
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and/or other substantive litigation responsibilities
• Strong academic credentials and professional judgment
• Licensed in Indiana or able to become admitted promptly without sitting for another bar examination

Attorneys with backgrounds in commercial litigation, product liability, toxic tort, construction litigation, insurance defense or coverage, or other sophisticated civil litigation are encouraged to apply.

Location

Indianapolis, Indiana. This is primarily an in-office position with periodic work-from-home flexibility.
