Job Description

As a Security Officer in Janesville, WI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming, security-related environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and supporting routine patrols. Use computer or tablet tools to document activity, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location, including verifying credentials, greeting authorized personnel and visitors, and maintaining visitor access records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, sales floors, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, access-related concerns, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
