Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Stepdown

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Critical Care Stepdown team. This role is suited for professionals passionate about providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients.

Position Details

  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
  • Number of Beds: 31
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4-1:5
  • Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, occasional epidural pumps
  • EHR: Meditech
  • Supervisor: Bre Russell
Patient Population

This position will involve working with adult and geriatric patients, managing a variety of complex health conditions.

Common Diagnoses and Treatments
  • Post vascular procedures
  • Post CABG
  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
  • Respiratory failure
  • Heart failure
  • Chest pain
  • Post cath lab care
Required Qualifications
  • Education: ADN or BSN
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a critical care or stepdown/PCU environment
  • Certifications:

    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • NIHSS
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cardiac drips and chest tubes
  • Familiarity with TR bands

Additional Notes

This position may require floating to med-surg, though it is not likely.
