Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts available: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (36 hours) or 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours), with occasional weekends and call required.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ENT, Dental, Plastics, and Trauma cases, and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
• Assist in surgeries including laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics, trauma care, and more.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and maintain effective communication with patients and families.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an operating room setting.
• Current RN license required.
• Preferred certifications: BLS, PALS, and AORN.
