About the Company
Our client is a growing and well-established organization in the Tarrytown area seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on experience and grow within a collaborative environment.

Position Overview
The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, assist with month-end close, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and looking to build a strong foundation in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support audits and provide requested documentation
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0–3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome!)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct)
• Internship or prior experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
